MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.

I finally read this book - The Autobiography of Martin Luther King Jr. The book is compilation of King’s writings and words edited by Clayborne Carson.

The book provided an avenue to understand the man MLK. A man who gave his all to fight segregation. A man whose dream was freedom for all. A man who stood up for what was right and never allowed intimidation to stop him. Martin was a for truth, love, justice and peace. Also in the book, King highlighted the challenges he faced — there was an instant where he referred to himself and his people as veteran jail-goers.

This is my favorite quote from the book: "Hate is too great a burden to bear." - MLK. "Black Power" is the most interesting chapter in the book. His last speech was indeed a great one and he spoke as if he knew that death was near.

I guess Luther King Jr is the greatest civil rights leader to have walked this earth.

Keep living Legend!
